Round 4 of the Whiskey Garage Drift Series was a weird one for the drivers in Albuquerque. Between blown motors, smashed chassis’, and general mechanical issues, less than 16 drivers made it out to Sandia Motor Speedway to slide. Nonetheless, with a party animal like Dan Brockett at the helm, those that did show up to drive had a ton of fun with lots of seat time and tandem opportunities. When the time came for the competition, the regular method of bracketing was thrown out the window and replaced with the tried and true roshambo. There were t-shirt canons, mini bike versus golf cart races, helicopters, and some drifting happened too. You know, just a typical Friday night at the home of the No Coast Drift Party. Speaking of, the massive bash in the desert is coming up! If you haven’t already marked September 4-6 on your calendar, just throw your calendar away and start driving to New Mexico. This year’s No Coast will be in conjunction with the Southwest Drift Pro Am series, so talent from all over the region will be in attendance. You don’t want to miss it!
