Motegi Super Drift Challenge – LBGP – April 11-12, 2014

$25,000, thats a lot of money, and Motegi Racing would award it to the winner of the Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge in the after hours of the second day of the Long Beach Grand Prix, on the same portion of track that Formula Drift used the weekend before. For $25,000, even we thought about drifting so we could have a chance! The Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge was invite only, which dashed our dreams of being newbie heroes.

As a precurser to Formula Drift Round 1, Just Drift held its own first competition of the year this past weekend at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, CA. Top Drift Round 1 brought out nearly 60 drivers and cars to compete in the popular Top Drift, which is an official Formula Drift licensing series. From what we saw at Round 1, we are excited to see what the rest of the year brings, because drivers are really stepping it up and the competition is getting crazier and crazier every year.

Formula Drift Long Beach Media Day – April 1, 2014

The official start of the 2014 Formula Drift season is finally upon us! After half a year of preparation, teams and beastly cars are converging on Downtown Long Beach this weekend for Formula Drift Round 1, “The Streets of Long Beach”. We hit up media day to get a taste of what to expect this year, and catch up with news and friends we haven’t had the pleasure to enjoy since the end of the 2013 season.

Phoenix ProAm Round 2 – March 8, 2014

Round 2 of the popular Vegas Drift ProAm Series, Vegas ProAm, wrapped up this past weekend on March 8, 2014 at Wild Horse Pass Raceway right outside Phoenix, AZ. With two Round 1 winners on podium, Round 2 served as proving grounds for the drivers who plan to dominate the 2014 pro-am season.

Golden Gate Drift Round 1 – March 2, 2014

Golden Gate Drift held its first round of the 2014 season this past weekend (March 1-2), at Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, CA. March 1st was actually a practice day, but we weren’t able to make it up for the relaxed day before the Sunday competition.
